Aurora jumped on top early as it scored four times in the first
inning, once in the second, three in the third, two in the fourth,
and three in the fifth. WLC's only run of the game came in the
second inning on a RBI single to second base from junior Kendra
Thomas (Jenison, Mich./Jenison) which allowed freshman Bekah
Shellberg (Burlington, Wis./Catholic Central) to come across home
from third.
The Warriors were only able to manage five hits in the opener as
Aurora pounded out 17 for the game. Junior Jenny Rechlicz (West
Allis, Wis./Nathan Hale) recorded two hits to lead WLC at the plate
for the game.

Spartans hot hitting alive. WLC was held to just two hits in the
game, while the Spartans pounded out 15. Junior Jinny Curtis
(Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) and sophomore Dayan Gacgacao

the season. Both Thomas and Larson combined to close out the game
in relief roles.
