Men's Golf Ties For Fourth At Spring Invite

WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's golf team competed Saturday at the WLC Spring Invitational at Morningstar Golfers Club. The Warriors finished tied for fourth out of 15 teams at the event with a 315.

INSIDE THE SCORECARD

• Mortell tied for 12th overall and was the lowest scorer for the Warriors first team carding a 77 (+5).
• Obbink paced Wisconsin Lutheran's second team at the tournament also shooting a 77 (+5) to tie for 12th.
• Sean Esenberg (Jackson, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) and Tyler Wood (Eagan, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran) tied for 19th with a 78 (+6).
• Six other Warriors players carded rounds of 85 or better during the tournament.
• Carthage won the 15-team tournament with a 297 (+9), 11 strokes better than runner-up MSOE.
• Alex Stewart of Carthage earned medalist honors after shooting a two-under par 70.
