GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS

  • Mt. St. Joseph plated a first-inning run on a two-out double for an early 1-0 lead.
  • The Lions scored four more two-out runs in the second inning, but they were of the unearned variety as they benefited from three Warriors miscues in the field.
  • After a solo homerun in the fourth, the Warriors scored twice in the fifth on a RBI groundout from Sam Humphreys (Jackson, Ohio/Jackson) and a throwing error from the Lions' catcher.
  • WLC closed the gap to four runs in the sixth when Savanah Frank (Crystal Lake, Ill./Central) drove home Abby Mahsem (South Milwaukee, Wis./South Milwaukee) with a RBI double to center.
  • Wisconsin Lutheran was retired in order in the seventh for a 7-3 final score.
