Michaelson, Schultz Lead Warriors At Elmhurst Fall Invite

OAK BROOK, Ill. (WLCSports.com) – James Michaelson (Crystal Lake, Ill.) and Quinn Schultz (Chaseburg, Wis.) each shot a 78 to lead the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's golf team at the Elmhurst Fall Invitational Thursday at Oak Brook Golf Club. The Warriors finished ninth out of 12 teams at the 18-hole tournament with a team total of 320.

• Michaelson and Schultz tied for the top team honors by shooting a 78, with Schultz tying his season-low.  
• Trey Gnewikow (Warrens, Wis.) was just three shots behind the Warriors' leaders with an 81.
• Grant Hammer (Germantown Hills, Ill.) and Johnny Kositzky Jr. (Escanaba, Mich.) capped the scoring for Wisconsin Lutheran each scoring an 83.

• Loras (+13) won the one-round tournament after defeating Lake Forest by virtue of tiebreaker. The Duhawks and Foresters each fired a 301. The Foresters' Ricky Schmidt earned medalist honors after shooting a 68 (-4).

• Wisconsin Lutheran returns to match play Friday against Green Bay at Watertown Country Club in Watertown. Tee time is scheduled for 8:30 a.m..
