Box Score VERONA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's soccer team opened its 2020-2021 season against Edgewood on Sunday afternoon at Reddan Soccer Park. The Warriors, playing their first game in 506 days, allowed a pair of second-half goals to the Eagles after playing to a scoreless tie at halftime.

- The first half featured strong defensive play, with neither team able to break through and score. The Warriors recorded three shots on goal, but all were stopped, while freshman goalkeeper Lauren Butler (West Allis, Wis.) kept the Eagles off the board as well with a pair of saves in the opening 45 minutes.
- In the 51st minute, Edgewood broke the scoreless tie with a goal into the top left corner from Marley Satran on a pass from Anja Von Klopp.
- The Eagles added another insurance goal with under eight minutes to play, as Cassidy Kloos scored off a corner kick to extend the lead to 2-0.
- The Warriors recorded 10 total shots with seven shots on goal. Sophomore Katie Wasiak (Muskego, Wis.) finished with four shots, while freshman Signe Kind (Fort Atkinson, Wis.) led the team with three shots on target.
- Butler finished with three saves and allowed a pair of goals in 90 minutes in net.
- Edgewood finished with 10 shots and five shots on goal. Goalie Grace Wildeboer picked up the win, stopping all seven shots she faced.
