(WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's volleyball team registered a season-high 16 kills and hit positive for the second match this season, but dropped a three-set non-conference match to Lakeland on Friday night by scores of 25-13, 25-21, and 25-12 inside Woltzen Gymnasium. The Warriors scored a season-high 46 points through their three sets.

- The Warriors trailed 5-4 in the opening set before the Muskies rattled off seven consecutive points for a 12-4 lead. WLC came within six points at 13-7 after back-to-back points but Lakeland took the first set by a score of 25-13.
- Wisconsin Lutheran found itself in an early 9-3 hole in set two, but the visitors didn't go down easily. The Green and White trailed by just three points on three different occasions late in the set before falling 25-21. The Warriors finished with nine kills in the set en route to their highest point total in a set this season.
- LU scored the first five points of the third set, and after leading 17-9, rattled off five straight to pull away for a 13-point win in the third.
- Freshman Logan Gryzwa (Delafield, Wis.) recorded a season-high seven kills to lead the Warriors. Freshman Isaac Stellick (Taichung, Taiwan) recorded 13 assists, his fourth match of double-digit dimes.
- Junior Logan Ascher (Waukesha, Wis.) collected six digs for WLC, which was one shy of tying a season-high.
- Wisconsin Lutheran's 16 kills were a season-high and its .015 hitting percentage was its second positive mark of the year.
- WLC scored a season-high 46 set points through its three sets.
- Ben Busalacchi posted a match-high 11 kills to lead the Muskies, who as a team hit .319 for the match. Matt Misheck added seven kills and seven service aces. Martin Carrillo tallied 23 of his team's 30 digs.
