Box Score 2 LISLE, Ill. (WLCSports.com) – After suffering a heartbreaking 2-1 loss in game one to Benedictine, the Wisconsin Lutheran College softball team erased a three-run, seventh-inning deficit with a 7-6 win over the Eagles in game two on Saturday afternoon at the Benedictine Softball Field.

- The Warriors grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first inning after sophomore Jena Almodovar (Romeoville, Ill.) singled home junior Aerin Moberg (Wheaton, Ill.), who singled and later stole second. WLC had three hits in the inning but left two runners on base.
- Wisconsin Lutheran put runners on second and third with one out in the third, but was unable to add onto its one-run lead.
- The Eagles recorded their first hit of the game in the fourth, but the baserunner was doubled off on the ensuing at-bat.
- Benedictine finally got to Warriors' starter Almodovar in the seventh after being limited for much of the game. BenU rallied for three doubles, including two with one out to walk-off for a 2-1 win.
- Moberg and Almodovar each went 2-for-3 in the game for Wisconsin Lutheran. Almodovar suffered the loss in the circle, allowing two runs over six hits.
- WLC took a 1-0 lead in the first inning again in game two after freshman Lexi Martin (Westfield, Ind.) drove home freshman Ashley Corley (Plainfield, Ill.) with a RBI single.
- The Eagles evened the score in their half of the inning with a two-out RBI single.
- Wisconsin Lutheran went in front 2-1 in the third on Almodovar's sac fly to center that plated Corley.
- BenU jumped in front 3-2 in the fourth inning following a leadoff home run and a two-out RBI double.
- The Green and White knotted the score at 3-3 in the fifth when Almodovar drove in Corley once again on a single to right field.
- Benedictine answered again with two runs in the fifth on just one hit and another in the sixth for a three-run advantage.
- Facing their final out in the seventh, the Warriors rallied for five straight hits, including doubles from Almodovar, Martin, senior Maddie Lindemann (Watertown, Wis.), and freshman Bri Biermann (Fond du Lac, Wis.). Freshman Katie Stoltenberg (Lodi, Wis.) drove home the go-ahead run with a single to center that plated Biermann.
- The Eagles put two runners on in the seventh, but WLC escaped with the win on a game-ending flyout.
- Corley went 3-for-4 with three runs for the Warriors, while five other players collected two hits each. Wisconsin Lutheran recorded a season-high 13 hits, including a season-high six doubles. Almodovar picked up the win after tossing the final two frames and allowing just two hits and no runs.
- Megan Fast and Colleen Schmit each went 2-for-3 for the Eagles in game one, while Alexandra Loizon improved to 2-2 in the circle with the complete-game win.
- Gianna Pullara was 3-for-3 with a RBI and run scored in game two for BenU. Fast allowed seven runs over six and two-thirds to fall to 0-4 on the season.
