Women's Soccer Shutout By Raiders

MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's soccer team traveled across town for a Sunday afternoon NACC matchup against MSOE. The Raiders blanked the Warriors by a final score of 3-0 at Viets Field.

• Records: Wisconsin Lutheran (1-2-0, 1-2-0 NACC), MSOE (3-1-0, 3-1-0 NACC)
• Location: Viets Field, Milwaukee, Wis.

• The Raiders opened the scoring in the 17th minute as McKayla Zastrow scored her third goal of the season following a corner kick opportunity. Nicole Robb was credited with the assist.
• Wisconsin Lutheran's defense held strong for the remainder of the first half, even as MSOE attempted 17 total shots. Freshman goalkeeper Lauren Butler (West Allis, Wis.) stopped four of the five shots on target to keep the Warriors within one at the break.
• The WLC offense had a chance to tie the game in the opening minute of the second half, but a shot by junior Miriam Carreno (San Antonio, Texas) was saved by the MSOE keeper.
• At the 57th minute mark, Grace Quinn scored an unassisted goal for the Raiders to increase the lead to 2-0. MSOE added one more goal with 10 minutes remaining as Emma Halverson tallied her first goal of the season.

• The Warriors finished with three total shots, with Carreno's shot the only one on goal.
• Butler recorded nine saves on 12 shots faced in 90 minutes in goal. After stopping four in the first half, Butler posted five saves in the second half.

• MSOE finished with 38 shots and 12 shots on frame. Nicole Robb paced the team with nine shots, and three players had multiple shots on goal.
• Megan Lacina picked up the win in net after playing the first half in goal.
