Wisconsin Lutheran Blanked At Beloit

BELOIT, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's soccer team suffered a 4-0 non-conference setback to Beloit on Friday afternoon at Strong Soccer Field.

• Final Score: Beloit 4, Wisconsin Lutheran 0
• Records: Wisconsin Lutheran (1-3-0), Beloit (1-0-2)
• Location: Strong Soccer Field, Beloit, Wis.

• The Buccaneers netted the first and only goal of the opening half in the 20th minute to take a 1-0 lead over the Warriors.
• Freshmen Margarita Hernandez (Carpentersville, Ill.) and Teyah Palmer (Washington, Ill.) placed shots on the frame in the 29th and 31st minute of the first period, but both were saved by Beloit's keeper. The score stayed 1-0 in favor of the hosts through intermission.
• BC scored a trio of second-half goals, coming in the 59th, 71st, and 82nd minute for the 4-0 final margin.
• Junior Katie Wasiak (Muskego, Wis.), who tallied a shot on goal in the 75th minute of the second half, led WLC with two shots.
• The Bucs out-shot the Warriors 9-4, but both teams were even with four corner kicks.
