Box Score MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's volleyball team began its 2022 season at home on Friday night, hosting Fontbonne in a non-conference match. The Griffins, who are receiving votes in the latest NVA/AVCA Top 15 poll, defeated the Warriors in three sets by scores of 25-11, 25-5, and 25-14.

- The Warriors trailed 4-3 in the first set before the Griffins went on an 8-1 run to take control. WLC closed to within seven points at 16-9, but Fontbonne took the opening set 25-11.
- Wisconsin Lutheran again found itself down by just a point early on at 3-2, but the Griffins rattled off a 14-1 scoring run and won the second set 25-5.
- Fontbonne jumped out to a 9-2 lead in the third set, but the Green and White cut the deficit in half at 12-6 following a service ace from junior Joe Flett (St. Anthony, Minn.). The Warriors dropped the third set by a score of 25-14.
- Flett led WLC with a trio of kills and freshman Jay Thammavongsa (Franklin, Wis.) had five assists in his collegiate debut. Junior Matthew Miskowski (La Crosse, Wis.) tallied four digs.
