Kayla Wigley (Milwaukee, Wis.) recorded 18 kills to lead Wisconsin Lutheran College to a 3-1 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference win over Dominican on Friday at Igini Sports Forum.
The Warriors (9-9, 6-5 NACC), who won for the first time in River Forest since 2007, downed the Stars (6-16, 3-8 NACC) by scores of 27-25, 26-24, 23-25, 25-16.
WLC, which hit .188 on 53 kills, 26 errors, and 144 attempts, was led by
Kayla Wigley's season-high 18 kills. Sophomore
Amahra Matthai (Plover, Wis.) hit a team-best .500 behind nine kills.
Senior
Emily Sarles (Lombard, Ill.) distributed 21 assists and served up four aces, while sophomore
Emma Incaprero (Mauston, Wis.) added 15 assists.
Wisconsin Lutheran collected a season-high 15 total blocks, led by seven block assists from senior
Rebecca Chavez (Chicago, Ill.), and five each from Matthai and Wigley. Sophomore
Kylee Gnabasik (Jefferson, Wis.) led the Warriors with 14 digs.
Cassidy Spies totaled 17 kills and 16 digs for DU, which hit .067 behind 36 kills, 28 errors, and 120 total attempts.
