AURORA, Ill. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College wrapped up its regular season road slate with 3-0 loss to conference co-leading Aurora on Saturday at Thornton Gymnasium.
The Warriors (9-10, 6-6 NACC), who dropped to 2-8 away from the Time of Grace Center, fell in three sets to the Spartans (19-8, 11-1 NACC) by scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-19.Â
WLC was limited to .043 hitting on 24 kills, 20 errors, and 94 total attempts. Freshman
Kayla Wigley (Milwaukee, Wis.) led Wisconsin Lutheran with 10 kills and senior
Jenna Charron (Appleton, Wis.) followed with eight. Senior
Emily Sarles (Lombard, Ill.) tallied 12 assists. Defensively, sophomore
Kylee Gnabasik (Jefferson, Wis.) recorded nine digs and senior
Rebecca Chavez (Chicago, Ill.) had a pair of block assists.
AU, which amassed .303 hitting on 33 kills, 10 errors, and 76 attempts, received 11 kills from Sydnei Avery and 10 from Vanessa Brown.
