Warriors Reverse Engineer Senior Night Sweep Over MSOE

WLC wraps up NACC slate with 7-6 record

MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College capped its Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference schedule with a thrilling 3-2 reverse Senior Night sweep over MSOE on Wednesday at the Time of Grace Center.

The Warriors (10-10, 7-6 NACC) picked up their third reverse sweep of the season while improving to 8-2 on their home floor following a five-set win over the Raiders (3-19, 1-12 NACC) by scores of 25-27, 15-25, 25-21, 25-23, 15-13.

WLC, which hit .165 for the match, recorded 60 kills, 33 errors, and 164 attempts, with the latter marks being their second-most of the season. The hosts were hampered by a season-high 21 serving errors.

Senior Jenna Charron (Appleton, Wis.) racked up a season-high 25 kills to go along with 11 digs for her seventh double-double of the season. Senior Rebecca Chavez (Chicago, Ill.) also added a season-best 12 kills with nine digs.

Senior Emily Sarles (Lombard, Ill.) passed out a season-high 29 assists, while sophomore Emma Incaprero (Mauston, Wis.) handed out 18 helpers. Freshman Kayla Wigley (Milwaukee, Wis.) served up a match-high four aces.

Sophomore Kylee Gnabasik (Jefferson, Wis.) tied a match high with 16 digs and sophomore Amahra Matthai (Plover, Wis.) had four total blocks.

Emma Braun, Emily Stratton, and Amanda Yackley all tallied double-doubles for MSOE, which hit .195 for the match on 43 kills, 17 errors, and 133 total attempts.

Wisconsin Lutheran, which honored its three seniors in Charron, Chavez, and Sarles with a postmatch ceremony, hosts the Warrior Invitational on Friday and Saturday for its final three matches of the 2022 season.
