MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College served up a school-record 23 aces on its way to a 3-2 win over Elmhurst on Friday in its opening match of the Warrior Invitational at the Time of Grace Center.
The Warriors (11-10), who upped their home record to 9-2 on the season, defeated the Bluejays (6-18) in five sets by scores of 25-23, 25-22, 18-25, 21-25, 18-16.
WLC hit .206 in the match behind 55 kills, 23 errors, and 155 attempts. Senior
Jenna Charron (Appleton, Wis.) posted her second consecutive 20-plus kill performance and eighth double-double of the season with 21 kills and 14 digs. Freshman
Kayla Wigley (Milwaukee, Wis.) also reached double-digit kills with 11.

Emma Incaprero (Mauston, Wis.) recorded 24 and 20 assists, respectively. Sophomore
Kylee Gnabasik (Jefferson, Wis.) tied a program record with nine service aces, leading four other players who had at least three on the night. Gnabasik also collected a match-high 16 digs.Â
Elise Rossing led EU with 14 kills and Jada Wiley had a double-double of 12 kills and 13 digs. Elmhurst hit .261 in the match with 54 kills, 17 errors, and 142 attempts.
