Box Score WATERTOWN, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's volleyball team was swept by Maranatha Baptist in a non-conference match on Monday night inside MBU Gymnasium. The Sabercats defeated the Warriors by scores of 25-19, 25-19, and 25-14.

- The Warriors jumped out to a 5-1 lead over the Sabercats in the first set, and held an 8-7 advantage before a three-point run gave MBU its first lead of the set. WLC trailed 14-10, but a four-point run knotted the score at 14-14 and a kill from sophomore Grant Wempner (Garden Grove, Calif.) evened the set at 15 apiece. Maranatha responded with five straight points, but Wisconsin Lutheran cut it down to two at 20-18. The Sabercats closed the opening set on a 5-1 run for a 25-19 win.
- The Green and White never led in the second set, but kept things close at 8-6. A three-point run by MBU gave the hosts an 11-6 advantage. The Warriors trimmed their deficit down to three points on four different occasions but could get no closer. Maranatha took the second set by an identical score of 25-19.
- WLC held a slim 5-4 lead in the third set, but the Sabercats jumped back in front 8-6. The visitors trailed by three at 11-8 following a kill from Wempner. The hosts then rattled off a 12-3 scoring run to take control and ended up winning the set 25-14.
- Wempner posted a seaon-high six kills to lead Wisconsin Lutheran, while sophomore Isaac Stellick (Taichung, Taiwan) registered 10 assists.
- Senior Logan Ascher (Waukesha, Wis.) and sophomore Logan Gryzwa (Delafield, Wis.) collected eight and seven digs, respectively.
