Thunder Top WLC In Non-Conference Tilt

ANGOLA, Ind. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's volleyball team was topped by the Trine Thunder, 3-0, in non-conference action on Saturday night inside Hershey Hall. The matchup was the first-ever between the two schools. 

• Final Score: Trine 3, Wisconsin Lutheran 0 (25-8, 25-6, 25-9)
• Records: Wisconsin Lutheran (0-16), Trine (8-10)
• Location: Hershey Hall, Angola, Ind.

• The Thunder stormed out to a 6-1 lead in the first set over the Warriors. TU added a 7-0 scoring run to take control en route to winning the opening set 25-8.
• The hosts hit a match-high .667 in the second set as WLC looked up at a 15-1 deficit. Trine took the second set from Wisconsin Lutheran by a score of 25-6.
• The Green and White led 3-0 in the third set following a service ace from junior Matthew Miskowski (La Crosse, Wis.). With the score knotted at 5-5, the Thunder used a 12-1 scoring run to take control and win the third set 25-9.
• Freshman James Biedenbender (La Crosse, Wis.) led the Warriors with seven assists and five digs. Three players posted two kills each in seniors Sean Daniels (Racine, Wis.) and Logan Ascher (Waukesha, Wis.) and sophomore Logan Gryzwa (Delafield, Wis.). 

• The Warriors travel to Crawfordsville, Indiana tomorrow for a 1 p.m. CST non-conference match against Wabash (2-12). Live coverage links will be available for the contest at WLCSports.com.
