Wisconsin Lutheran Drops Final Road Match To Eagles

MADISON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's volleyball team dropped its final NACC road match of the season on Wednesday night, falling to Edgewood 3-0 inside the Todd Wehr Edgedome.

• Final Score: Edgewood 3, Wisconsin Lutheran 0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-15)
• Records: Wisconsin Lutheran (0-21, 0-9 NACC), Edgewood (6-12, 3-5 NACC)
• Location: Todd Wehr Edgedome, Madison, Wis.

• The Eagles jumped out to a 5-1 lead over the Warriors in the first set, but senior Logan Ascher (Waukesha, Wis.) cut the deficit to two points at 7-5 following a kill. WLC trailed by four points at 13-9, but EC went on an 8-2 run to pull ahead and win the set 25-14.
• Edgewood used a four-point run early in the second set to break a 3-3 tie. Wisconsin Lutheran had just a two-point deficit at 8-6 after an Eagles attack error, but an 11-3 run by the hosts gave them a 10-point lead as they finished the second set with an identical 25-14 win over the Green and White.
• The Warriors held a 12-10 third-set lead after a kill from senior Sean Daniels (Racine, Wis.) and a service ace from junior Joe Flett (St. Anthony, Minn.). The Eagles evened the contest for the sixth time and used a 14-2 scoring run to claim a 25-15 win.
• Ascher finished with four kills to lead the Warriors, while four other players collected three kills apiece. Freshman James Biedenbender (La Crosse, Wis.) totaled 12 assists, and sophomore Logan Gryzwa (Delafield, Wis.) recorded six digs.
