Warriors Fall To 15th-Ranked Falcons

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College softball team resumed the second game of its suspended doubleheader from April 20 against 15th-ranked Concordia Wisconsin on Friday at Neumann Family Softball Field. The Falcons defeated the Warriors by a score of 10-2.

• Records: Wisconsin Lutheran (8-24, 1-17 NACC), Concordia Wisconsin (29-4, 17-3 NACC)
• Location: Neumann Family Softball Field, Wauwatosa, Wis.

• The Falcons, who took a 1-0 lead in the first inning prior to the suspension of game two on April 20, scored three runs on four hits to take a 4-0 through two frames.
• Senior Gracie Wilson (Deerfield, Wis.) returned to the Warriors' lineup and recorded the team's first hit of the game in the third inning, an infield single to third that plated senior Aerin Moberg (Wheaton, Ill.).
• CUW added a run in the fourth on a homerun, and after a scoreless fifth, plated four runs on five hits in the sixth for an eight-run advantage.
• WLC got a run back in the sixth when sophomore Lexi Martin (Westfield, Ind.) singled to left to bring home Moberg with one out.
• Concordia Wisconsin tacked on its final run in the seventh and Wisconsin Lutheran stranded a pair in its last at-bat.
• Wilson led the Green and White with two hits and a RBI in her first appearance in the lineup in 13 games. Martin, Moberg, and senior Katie Scott (Sallisaw, Okla.) added hits for the Warriors. Moberg also scored twice and Martin drove in a run.

• The Warriors continue their weekend homestand tomorrow when they host Marian (14-17, 9-11 NACC) in a NACC doubleheader at Neumann Family Softball Field. First pitch is scheduled for 10 a.m. Live coverage links will be available for both games at WLCSports.com.
