ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (WLCSports.com) - Seniors Solomon Zarling (West Bend, Wis.) and Joey Ploch (Oconomowoc, Wis.) both recorded top-10 finishes to lead the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's golf team on Friday and Saturday at the Viking Invitational. Zarling tied for fourth, while Ploch tied for ninth in the 138-player field. As the team, the Warriors finished eighth among 25 competing squads.

- Zarling paced the Warriors in their third event of the spring season with a two-round 143. The senior fired rounds of 72 (E) and 71 (-1) to tie for fourth overall in the large 138-player field.
- Ploch posted the next best score for WLC, tallying a two-round 148 (78-70). He climbed 32 spots in the player standings after firing two-under on Saturday to match his career low.
- Seniors Grant Hammer (Germantown Hills, Ill.) and James Michaelson (Crystal Lake, Ill.) carded rounds of 157 (79-78) and 161 (82-79), respectively.
- Senior Trey Gnewikow (Warrens, Wis.) shot a two-round 163 (82-81) to complete the scoring for Wisconsin Lutheran.
- The Green and White's final round 298 on Saturday was the fifth-lowest round of the day.
- The Warriors will compete next on Monday at the Judson Spring Invitational at Randall Oaks Golf Club in West Dundee, Illinois. Tee time is 10:30 a.m.
