Wisconsin Lutheran Runs Past Regent

Five players score for WLC in road win

NORFOLK, Va. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College scored a season-high six goals, including four in the second half, on its way to a 6-2 win over Regent on Sunday at Norfolk Christian School.

The Warriors (3-1-0) took a 2-0 lead on back-to-back goals from junior Tony Bedolla (Joliet, Ill.) in the seventh and 25th minute, assisted by freshman Cameron Jochimsen (Freedom, Wis.) and senior Joel Migliaccio (Muskego, Wis.), respectively. 

The Royals (1-3-0) scored their first goal in the 31st minute from Graylan Gill to trim the deficit to 2-1 at halftime. The hosts knotted the contest at 2-2 less than two minutes into the second half on a goal from Dylan Pond. 

Senior KJ McNealey Jr. (Milwaukee, Wis.) netted the go-ahead score in the 52nd minute, his fourth of the season, on Migliaccio's second assist of the match. Senior Jason Cano (Delavan, Wis.) tallied his team-leading fifth goal of the year in the 57th minute for a 4-2 lead.

Senior Joseph Raasch (Germantown, Wis.) put WLC in front by three goals in the 75th minute on an assist from Cano, and junior Puma Galvan (Racine, Wis.) capped the scoring in the 82nd minute on his first career goal.

Wisconsin Lutheran out-shot Regent 18-6 for the game, including 14-4 in shots on frame. The Warriors also held an 11-3 margin on corner kicks. Bedolla and Cano led WLC with six shots apiece. Sophomore Bryce Beckley (Waterford, Wis.) made two saves in goal.
