MEQUON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College battled to a 1-1 draw with NACC rival Concordia Wisconsin on Wednesday at Fitting Field. The result was the Warriors' first tie since 2020 and their second against the Falcons in the last four meetings.
The Warriors (5-1-1, 2-0-1 NACC) wasted little time taking the lead as senior
KJ McNealey Jr. (Milwaukee, Wis.) scored just over one minute into the match for his sixth goal of the season. Senior
Jason Cano (Delavan, Wis.) assisted on the score as WLC struck first for the seventh time this year.
The Falcons (4-0-3, 1-0-2 NACC) evened the match with just 0:08 seconds left on the first-half clock on a goal from Nick Hummel, assisted by Ivan Cuellar. Both teams had three additional chances in the opening 45 minutes, but were turned away.
WLC put five shots on frame in the second half, compared to just one for CUW but the match remained deadlocked at 1-1 when the final horn sounded.
