DE PERE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College dropped a 2-0 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match to St. Norbert on Wednesday at Schneider Stadium.
The Warriors (7-5-1, 4-5-0 NACC) allowed two early goals to the Green Knights (9-4-2, 7-1-1 NACC) in the first half for what proved to be all the scoring in the contest.
SNC scored in the 8th minute when Abby Thompson curved a shot into the top left corner from 20 yards out off an assist from Mallory Names. Twelve minutes later, Thompson connected with Names after a turnover for a 2-0 advantage.
WLC, which finished with eight shots in the match, received shots on goal from junior
Ella Miller (Colorado Springs, Colo.), senior
Katie Wasiak (Muskego, Wis.), and sophomore
Ava Thiesfeldt (Greenville, Wis.). Senior
Christian Casimir (Kaukauna, Wis.) made six saves. Wisconsin Lutheran held a 2-0 edge over St. Norbert in corner kicks.
