MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College was swept 3-0 by Dominican in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match on Saturday at the Time of Grace Center.
The Warriors (7-13, 3-5 NACC) were swept by the Stars (9-10, 4-4 NACC) by scores of 28-26, 25-14, 25-17. WLC held a 23-19 lead in the opening set, but was unable to close out the win. Wisconsin Lutheran hit .200, its fifth-best performance of the season, with 37 kills, 17 errors, and 100 attempts.
Sophomore
Hannah Vriezen (Marion, Iowa) recorded a career-high 11 kills to lead the Warriors, while sophomore
Kayla Wigley (Milwaukee, Wis.) added 10. Juniors
Karah Valerio (Pewaukee, Wis.) and
Emma Incaprero (Mauston, Wis.) dished out 13 and 11 assists, respectively.Â
Junior
Kylee Gnabasik (Jefferson, Wis.) and freshman
Shannon Rusch (Edgerton, Wis.) collected a team-high eight digs apiece, while Gnabasik served up a team-high three aces.
