Bedolla's Hat Trick Highlights WLC's Senior Night Shutout

Senior tallies first career three-goal game in win over Lakeland

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Senior Tony Bedolla (Joliet, Ill.) tallied his first career hat trick to lead Wisconsin Lutheran College to a 3-0 Senior Night win over Lakeland on Wednesday at Warriors Soccer Field.

WLC (6-3-2, 4-2-0 NACC), which remained unbeaten at home through five games, celebrated its 10 seniors with its seventh shutout of the season.

LU (2-8-1, 1-6-0 NACC) held a slim 4-3 edge in shots on goal in the opening half.

Senior Ben Meaux (Franklin, Wis.) was fouled inside the box just 1:44 into the second half, and Bedolla's soft touch penalty kick into the bottom left corner found the back of the net for a 2-0 lead.

Bedolla completed his first career hat trick in the 60th minute when his finished off a loose ball from a free kick into the bottom left corner. The Warriors held a 6-2 margin over Lakeland in shots on goal over the final 45 minutes of action.
