CLERMONT, Fla. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College dropped a pair of games on its final day of The Spring Games on Friday at Legends Way Ballfields. The Warriors fell to Springfield 4-0 in their opening game, before dropping a 9-0 contest to New England.
WLC (5-7) threatened in the fifth inning of game one, loading the bases after sophomore
Makayla Huff (Galesburg, Ill.) reached on an error, sophomore
Olivia Krieser (Stoughton, Wis.) singled, and junior
Addison Gelande (Port Byron, Ill.) walked. The Pride (9-1) escaped without any damage after sophomore
Gwen Malecke (Gilberts, Ill.) lined out to short to end the inning.
SC scored all four of its runs with two outs in the fifth inning on a bases-clearing double to center and a fielding error for a 4-0 lead.Â

Lexi Martin (Westfield, Ind.) collected Wisconsin Lutheran's two hits in the contest. Sophomore
Callie Terrill (Minooka, Ill.) allowed three earned runs over 4.2 innings in the circle.Â
The Warriors loaded the bases with just one out in the first inning of game two, as junior
Ashley Corley (Plainfield, Ill.), Martin, and Malecke all singled but were left stranded on base. NEC (4-6) cracked the scoring column in the third inning with two runs on one hit and three defensive miscues. The Pilgrims posted a seven-run frame in the fifth on eight hits to take control.

Briana Vilches (Fontana, Calif.) reached base twice with a hit and a walk for WLC. Sophomore
Melissa Tonn (West Allis, Wis.) suffered her first loss of the season after going 4.1 innings and allowing five earned runs.Â
