MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College fell 3-0 to Concordia Chicago on Friday in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match at the Time of Grace Center.
The Warriors (4-17, 0-7 NACC) were defeated by the Cougars (12-9, 5-3 NACC) in three sets by scores of 25-15, 25-15, 25-15. CUC broke an 11-11 deadlocked score in the first set by going on a 10-1 run to take the opening set. WLC fell behind 8-2 in the second set and trailed the remainder of the way. In the third set, Concordia Chicago used a 5-1 run early in the set to break free from a tie score and lead the remainder of the match.
Wisconsin Lutheran hit -.071 for the match with 17 kills, 23 errors, and 85 attempts. Sophomore
James Biedenbender (La Crosse, Wis.) lead the Warriors with seven kills. Sophomore
Jay Thammavongsa (Franklin, Wis.) dished out 12 assists. Freshman
Samuel Dudor (Franklin, Wis.) collected six digs.
Luke Vozenilek and Tyler Holubek collected 16 and 11 kills, respectively, for the Cougars. CUC hit .299 with 40 kills, 14 errors, and 87 attempts.
