LISLE, Ill. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College dropped a three-set non-conference match to Fontbonne on Friday in its season opener at the Dan and Ada Rice Center.
The Warriors (0-1)Â fell to the Griffins (1-0) by scores of 25-23, 25-17, 25-23. WLC hit .046 with 31 kills and 26 errors in 108 attempts.
Sophomore
Kayla Wigley (Milwaukee, Wis.) led Wisconsin Lutheran with eight kills. Juniors
Karah Valerio (Pewaukee, Wis.) and
Emma Incaprero (Mauston, Wis.) tallied 12 and 11 assists, respectively. Junior
Kylee Gnabasik (Jefferson, Wis.) served up six aces and collected 12 digs, both team highs.
The Warriors wrap up their opening weekend in Illinois tomorrow with matchups against Loras (1-0) and Lake Forest (1-0) at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
