WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Six players found the back of the net to lead Wisconsin Lutheran College to a 9-0 non-conference win over Mount Mary on Sunday at Warriors Soccer Field.Â
The Warriors (3-0-1), who are off to their best start through four games since the 2014 season, improved to 11-0 all-time vs. the Blue Angels (1-3-0). WLC tallied its most goals since scoring 11 times at Maranatha Baptist exactly one year ago to the day.Â
Sophomore
Brooke Bluhm (New Berlin, Wis.) netted Wisconsin Lutheran's first three goals across the opening 22 minutes for her fourth career hat trick. Seniors
Katie Wasiak (Muskego, Wis.) and
Elena Velasquez (Milwaukee, Wis.) scored unassisted in the 25th and 36th minutes to finish off the first half scoring.
JuniorsÂ
Jovanka Novakovich (Muskego, Wis.) and
Adlin Sanchez Cordero (Milwaukee, Wis.) scored a minute apart early in the second half to extend the lead to 7-0. Sophomore
Lydia Drake (Neenah, Wis.) tallied the team's final two goals in the 80th and 89th minute to round out the scoring.
Bluhm totaled seven shots for the Warriors, who out-shot MMU 36-10. Wasiak added two assists and junior
Ella Miller (Colorado Springs, Colo.) also assisted on a score. Freshman
Kallista Street (Kenosha, Wis.) collected her first career shutout victory by making three saves.
