MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College concluded its non-conference schedule with a 4-0 shutout win over Maranatha Baptist on Tuesday at Wisconsin Lutheran High School's Zeitler Stadium.
The Warriors (5-2-2), who secured their sixth shutout of the season, defeated the Sabercats (1-7-0) for the fifth straight time in the series.Â
Freshman
Hector Cervantes (Milwaukee, Wis.) put WLC on the board in the 14th minute when his free kick from 24 yards out found the top left corner of the net. Six minutes later, senior
Titus Kostrzewa (Wauwatosa, Wis.) netted his first goal of the season when he beat the MBU goalkeeper to the end line and finished into the lower left corner for a 2-0 lead.
Wisconsin Lutheran, which out-shot Maranatha Baptist 13-0 in the first half, was aided by a pair of own goals in the second half to account for the 4-0 final result.

Puma Galvan, who was one of three goalkeepers to see action in net, earned the win.
WLC, which saw 37 players get field time, totaled 22 shots compared to just two for the Sabercats. Wisconsin Lutheran also held a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks.
