MADISON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College saw its three-game winning streak come to a close on Saturday, falling 2-0 to Edgewood in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference contest at Reddan Soccer Park.
The Warriors (5-3-2, 3-2-0 NACC) and Eagles (7-4-1, 3-2-0 NACC) each registered seven first-half shots, but it was the hosts who struck first. In the 37th minute, Spencer Hubbard scored on an assist from Leo Krause for a 1-0 EC lead. WLC trailed 1-0 at the break despite owning a 3-2 edge in shots on target, including two from sophomore

In the second half, Wisconsin Lutheran out-shot Edgewood 9-5, including another 3-2 margin in shots on frame, but couldn't find the back of the net. The Warriors' chances came in the 50th, 72nd, and 82nd minute, but all were turned away. The Eagles added a 67th-minute insurance goal from Miguel Konde Gwo on an assist from Austin Hauser.Â
WLC out-shot EC 16-12 and owned a 9-2 advantage on corner kicks. Senior
