MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College suffered its first Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference loss of the season on Saturday, falling to Edgewood 3-0 at the Time of Grace Center.
The Warriors (7-9, 3-1 NACC), who were held to their second-lowest hitting percentage of the season, fell to the Eagles (10-4, 4-0 NACC) by scores of 29-27, 25-13, 25-23. WLC, which held a 27-26 lead in the first set and a 19-16 advantage in set three, finished with 22 kills, 22 errors, and 94 attempts.
Sophomore
Hannah Vriezen (Marion, Iowa) led Wisconsin Lutheran with a career-high seven kills while hitting .357. Junior
Emma Incaprero (Mauston, Wis.) tallied a team-high 10 assists. Junior
Kylee Gnabasik (Jefferson, Wis.) recorded four service aces for the third straight match to bring her season total to a league-leading 47.
Freshmen
Johanna Andreae (Sturgeon Bay, Wis.) and
Margie Stevens (Oneida, Wis.) tied for a team-high with three total blocks. Gnabasik collected a team-best 10 digs.
