CINCINNATI, Ohio (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College opened its 2024 season with a pair of three-set non-conference losses to Mount St. Joseph and Trine on Saturday at the Harrington Center.
The Warriors (0-2) dropped their first match to the Lions (2-1) by scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-19. WLC hit .041 on 16 kills, 13 errors, and 74 attempts. Sophomore
Drew Wempner (West Allis, Wis.) led Wisconsin Lutheran with six kills. Junior
Jay Thammavongsa (Franklin, Wis.) distributed a team-high 13 assists.

The Thunder (1-1) defeated the Warriors in the nightcap in three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-23. WLC tallied 24 kills with 22 errors on 79 attempts for a .025 hitting percentage.
