Alaena Zastrow (De Pere, Wis.) scored a pair of second-half goals to lift Wisconsin Lutheran College past Edgewood 2-1 on Senior Day Saturday at Warriors Soccer Field.
The Warriors (6-3-1, 2-2-1 NACC) snapped a six-game losing streak to the Eagles by winning for the first time on their home turf in the series since 2002.Â
The teams played through a scoreless opening half as EC edged WLC 3-2 in the shot count and just 2-1 in goal.Â
Eleven minutes into the second half, Zastrow scored the first goal of the contest on a free kick to give Wisconsin Lutheran a 1-0 lead. Zastrow later connected on her second penalty kick of the season in the 80th minute for a 2-0 advantage. Edgewood's Greta Blau cut the deficit in half in the 84th minute, but time would run out on the visitors.
The Warriors edged the Eagles 11-10 in shots for the game, as both teams managed five shots on frame. All five corner kicks went in favor of WLC, while EC had 19 fouls to 11 for Wisconsin Lutheran. Zastrow led the Warriors with three shots. Freshman

Blau finished with a game-high four shots for Edgewood (7-3-1, 2-3-0 NACC).
