CLERMONT, Fla. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College dropped two games against North Park (7-1) and Northwestern-St. Paul (6-5) on Monday in its second day of the Spring Games at Legends Way Ballfields.
The Vikings (1-1) plated three runs on three hits in the top of the first inning of the opener to take an early lead. The score stood at 3-0 until the bottom of the sixth when the Warriors (1-5) pushed across their first run of the game. Freshman

Lexi Martin (Westfield, Ind.) with two outs to make it a two-run deficit. NPU broke the close contest open with four runs on three hits in the seventh for a 7-1 advantage.Â

Wisconsin Lutheran scored two first-inning runs from a RBI double by Martin and a run-scoring single from senior
Ashley Corley (Plainfield, Ill.) for a quick lead in game two. The Eagles (5-5) answered with a run in the bottom of the first on a sac fly.Â
In the fifth, junior
Gwen Malecke (Gilberts, Ill.) scored the third run of the game when she scored off Precup's dropped fly ball deep to center. UNW responded with a four-spot in its half of the fifth on just two hits to take a 5-3 lead.
The Warriors knotted the score at 5-5 in the sixth inning with two runs on just one hit. Junior
Olivia Krieser (Stoughton, Wis.) scored on a groundout to third and junior
Jackey Farias (San Diego, Calif.) came around to score on a passed ball.Â
Northwestern went ahead with a leadoff home run to left center in the bottom of the sixth, and WLC mustered just a two-out single from Precup in the top of the seventh.
Martin went 2-for-3 with a RBI and run scored for Wisconsin Lutheran, while five other players posted one hit each.
