JACKSON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College opened Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play on Saturday against conference foe Concordia Wisconsin. The Falcons defeated the Warriors 8-1 at Pleasant Valley Tennis & Fitness Club.
WLC (2-8, 0-1 NACC) dropped all three doubles matches to CUW (5-5, 1-0 NACC). Wisconsin Lutheran's No. 2 team of senior
Bryce Halvorsen (Kewaskum, Wis.) and sophomore
Zadic Torline (Shawnee, Kan.) and the No. 3 duo of sophomore
Connor Heezen (Pulaski, Wis.) and senior
Jon Kannenberg (Butler, Wis.) fell by identical 8-4 scores.
Halvorsen recorded the Warriors' lone victory at No. 5 singles where he defeated Concordia Wisconsin's Dylan Nadolski 6-4, 6-2. Kannenberg was edged 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4 by Shaun Del Vecchio, while Heezen came up short 6-2, 7-5 at No. 6 to Isaac Bruins.
WLC is idle until Friday, April 5 when it travels to Edgewood (1-9, 0-1 NACC) for a 4:30 p.m. NACC dual at Quann Park in Madison.
