The Warriors (3-8, 1-1 NACC) picked up a pair of doubles wins over the Eagles (1-11, 0-3 NACC) to begin competition. Senior
Asa White (Farmington, N.M.) and junior
Aidan Newberg (Manitowoc, Wis.)Â earned an 8-2 win at No. 1 over Andrew Hoffmann and Caden Nelson. At No. 3, senior
Jon Kannenberg (Butler, Wis.) and sophomore
Connor Heezen (Pulaski, Wis.) also secured an 8-2 victory over William Faley and Alton Robinson.
Singles play saw WLC record five straight-set victories. White was a 6-0, 6-3 winner over Nelson at No. 1, Newberg netted a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Jon Olafsson at No. 2, Kannenberg collected a win via retirement at No. 4 over Marek Woytasik, senior
Bryce Halvorsen (Kewaskum, Wis.) blanked Robinson 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5, while Heezen handled Ethan Towne 6-3, 6-0 at No. 6.Â
Wisconsin Lutheran travels to Kohler tomorrow for a 1 p.m. NACC match against Lakeland (0-1, 0-1 NACC) at the Sports Core.Â
