OAK BROOK, Ill. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College finished sixth out of 15 teams on Tuesday at the Elmhurst Spring Invitational at Oak Brook Golf Club.
The Warriors, who saw their first action of the spring season in nearly a month, finished one shot back of fifth place with a 316 (+28). Parkland topped the 15-team field with a 289, 15 strokes ahead of second-place Elmhurst and Wheaton. Marcos Park of Parkland earned medalist honors in the 88-player field with a four-under 68.
Sophomore
Luke Capstran (Oak Creek, Wis.) carded his second-lowest round of the season with a 76 to lead WLC. Sophomore
Riley Tanzi (West Bend, Wis.) was close behind with a 77.
Junior
Luke Movrich (Appleton, Wis.) finished with an 81, junior
Kale Gnewikow (Warrens, Wis.) finished with an 82, and freshman
Carter Gault (Holmen, Wis.) finished with an 85.
Wisconsin Lutheran continues its busy three-event week on Friday when it travels to Vernon Hills, Illinois for the Forester Spring Invitational. Tee time is scheduled for 12 p.m. at White Deer Run Golf Club.
