Kostrzewa Carries Wisconsin Lutheran Past Beloit, 4-0

Senior tallies six points in shutout win

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Senior Titus Kostrzewa (Wauwatosa, Wis.) scored two goals and assisted on two others to lead Wisconsin Lutheran College to a 4-0 non-conference shutout over Beloit on Wednesday at Warriors Soccer Field.

The Warriors (3-1-0) went in front of the Buccaneers (1-5-0) 1-0 in the eighth minute on freshman Rolando Colin's (Waukegan, Ill.) second goal of the season. It also marked the first assist of the night for Kostrzewa. 

Senior Tony Bedolla (Joliet, Ill.) also connected on his second scoring tally of the season in the 30th minute, assisted again by Kostrzewa, for a 2-0 halftime advantage.

Kostrzewa helped himself in the 57th minute when he scored unassisted for a 3-0 WLC lead. He capped the scoring in the 77th minute, this time on an assist from freshman Cole Luedke (Hartland, Wis.), for his team-leading third goal of the season and 4-0 final result.

Wisconsin Lutheran out-shot BC 22-8 overall, including 11-3 in shots on goal. The Warriors also controlled corner kicks, 11-3. Kostrzewa and Colin collected a team-high four shots apiece. Senior Puma Galvan (Racine, Wis.) stopped three shots to secure the team's third clean sheet of the season.

Santiago Gomez led Beloit with three shots.
