WINONA, Minn. (WLCSports.com) - Cohan Hare netted a hat trick in the second half to send Saint Mary's (MN) to a 4-0 defeat of Wisconsin Lutheran College on Friday at Ochrymowycz Field.
The Warriors (1-1-0) played through a scoreless first half with the Cardinals (3-0-0) despite out-shooting the hosts 6-3, including a 3-1 margin on frame.Â
SMU struck for four goals in the second half, with the first three coming off the foot of Hare in the 63rd, 76th, and 81st minute. Saint Mary's mustered its final tally in the 88th minute for the final result.
WLC, which was narrowly out-shot 15-13, had three shots apiece from seniors
Tony Bedolla (Joliet, Ill.) and
Titus Kostrzewa (Wauwatosa, Wis.), and sophomore
Hector Cervantes (Milwaukee, Wis.). Wisconsin Lutheran controlled the corner kick count, 7-3. Senior
Puma Galvan (Racine, Wis.) made all five of the Warriors' saves.
