WLC's First Half Barrage More Than Enough To Bury Knights

Warriors' 45 shots good for fourth most in a single game

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College ripped off 45 shots, the fourth-most in program history, and three players scored for the first time this season in a 3-0 non-conference shutout win over Martin Luther on Sunday at Warriors Soccer Field.

Senior Tony Bedolla (Joliet, Ill.) put the Warriors (2-1-0) on the scoreboard in the 19th minute with his first goal of the season, assisted by freshman Cole Luedke (Hartland, Wis.).

Less than a minute later, graduate student Ben Meaux (Franklin, Wis.) found the back of the net for the first time in 2024, aided by the second assist of the match from Luedke.

Freshman Rolando Colin (Waukegan, Ill.) recorded his first collegiate goal in the 29th minute, assisted by Meaux and Bedolla for what proved to be the final 3-0 tally.

WLC registered 25 first half shots and 20 more in the second half for a 45-4 shot advantage. Bedolla led the team with 11 shots. Seniors Puma Galvan (Racine, Wis.) and Robert Jenewein (Kenosha, Wis.) played 45 minutes each in net to combine for the shutout.

Nicholas Russ made 15 saves for the Knights (0-3-1).

Wisconsin Lutheran remains home on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. non-conference contest against Beloit (0-4-0). Live coverage links can be found at WLCSports.com.
