WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College dropped a 2-0 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference decision to two-time defending champion and league unbeaten Illinois Tech on Saturday at Warriors Soccer Field.
The Scarlet Hawks (12-1-1, 8-0-0 NACC) opened the scoring early when Kayla Thomas netted an unassisted goal in the fourth minute. IIT doubled its advantage in the 72nd minute when Tvesa Vathulya found the back of the net off an assist from Kayla Smith to secure the win.
The Warriors (7-4-0, 4-3-0 NACC) were limited to three shots, all in the second half, including one on goal, while Illinois Tech finished with 10 shots and four on target. Sophomore
Morgan Bluhm (New Berlin, Wis.) led WLC with two attempts, including the team's lone shot on goal. Thomas and Vathulya paced the Scarlet Hawks with one goal apiece, while Smith added an assist and two shots.

Sam Schroeder (Brookfield, Wis.) made one save in the second half for Wisconsin Lutheran, while IIT's Emmy Anderson stopped one shot in relief.
