WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College earned its third consecutive draw after playing to a 1-1 tie with Marian in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match on Senior Night Wednesday at Warriors Soccer Field.
The Warriors (7-4-3, 4-3-3 NACC) struck first just before halftime when senior
Brooke Bluhm (New Berlin, Wis.) scored her second goal of the season in the 43rd minute on an unassisted strike. The Sabres (7-6-4, 4-4-2 NACC) found the equalizer in the 63rd minute when Sophia Romo scored her fourth goal of the year, also unassisted.
Both sides recorded seven total shots and five shots on goal, while WLC held a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Sophomore
Alaena Zastrow (De Pere, Wis.) led Wisconsin Lutheran with three shots, while sophomore
Emma Adema (Sheboygan, Wis.) had two shots on frame. Sophomore goalkeeper
Sam Schroeder (Brookfield, Wis.) made four saves in net for the Warriors. Romo paced MU with two shots on target, while Chelsea King stopped four shots for Marian.
