COLFAX, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College finished 16th out of 34 teams at the Blugold Invite on Friday at Whitetail Golf Course. The Warriors scored 508 points to place within the top half of a loaded field that featured six NCAA Division III teams ranked in the top 30.
Graduate
Isaiah Herried (Necedah, Wis.) was the top WLC finisher, placing 54th with an 8K time of 26:08.9. Junior
Arnold Rupnow (Watertown, Wis.) was 69th with a time of 26:24.1.
Senior
Josh Staggs (Oostburg, Wis.) was 128th with a time of 27:11.0. Junior
Noah Micheel (Mequon, Wis.) was 189th with time of 28:17.2. Junior
Silas Ebeling (Wauwatosa, Wis.) was 202nd with a time of 28:29.2, freshman
Caleb Schreiber (Mukwonago, Wis.) was 221st with a time of 28:52.5, and senior
Ray Woller (Mount Horeb, Wis.) was 244th with a time of 29:35.0.
UW-Platteville, which had four runners finish inside the top 30, won the event with 104 points. Mohammed Bati of Augsburg topped the 322-runner field with a time of 24:39.6.
Wisconsin Lutheran hosts the 25th-annual Warrior Invitational on Saturday at Greenfield Park in West Allis. The men's 8K race is scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
