Men’s Soccer Stopped By MSOE In Midweek NACC Action

Warriors host Illinois Tech on Saturday

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College (2-8-3, 1-3-2 NACC) was unable to slow down a potent Milwaukee School of Engineering (8-3-2, 5-1-1 NACC) attack in a 6-0 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference setback on Wednesday at Warriors Soccer Field.

The Raiders struck early and often, tallying three goals in each half. Adrian Manchado opened the scoring in the fourth minute off an assist from Nico Picha, then doubled the lead in the 15th minute from Danny Aranda. Less than a minute later, Ditar Useni made it 3-0 after finishing a pass from Manchado.

MSOE continued its offensive surge in the second half as Juan Pablo Escobar netted his first two goals of the season in the 50th and 66th minutes, while Joey Loduca capped the scoring just a minute later off another assist from Picha.

Warriors sophomore goalkeeper Owen Gault recorded nine saves before junior Fernando Calzada (Green Bay, Wis.) and sophomore Aaron Lambert (Green Bay, Wis.) combined for four stops over the final 33 minutes. Sophomore Connor Renaud (Des Moines, Iowa), freshman Bogdan Tereshchenko (Green Bay, Wis.), and freshman Jesus Ramirez Pabon (Milwaukee, Wis.) accounted for WLC's three shots, with Renaud placing the lone attempt on goal.

Manchado led the Raiders with two goals and an assist, while Picha tallied two assists.

Wisconsin Lutheran continues NACC play on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. when it hosts Illinois Tech (6-5-2, 3-3-1 NACC) at Warriors Soccer Field. Live coverage links can be found at WLCSports.com.
