League-Leading Raiders Edge Warriors, 2-0

WLC narrowly outshot 7-2 by MSOE

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College dropped a 2-0 decision to Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference unbeaten Milwaukee School of Engineering on Wednesday at Viets Field.

The Raiders (7-4-2, 6-0-1 NACC) scored both of their goals in the opening 20 minutes. Rachael Klamecki put the hosts on the board in the 10th minute off a pass from Elizabeth Kuhn, and Alexis Jamiola doubled the advantage in the 20th minute with help from Faith Papazoglou.

The Warriors (7-3-0, 4-2-0 NACC) were held to two shots in the match, including one on goal by sophomore Aubrey Koch (Milwaukee, Wis.) in the first half. Sophomore Ava Collyard (Richfield, Wis.) tallied the other shot for WLC.

Sophomore Sam Schroeder (Brookfield, Wis.) started in goal and made one save in the opening 45 minutes, while junior Kallista Street (Kenosha, Wis.) played the second half without facing a shot on goal.

MSOE held a 7-2 advantage in total shots and a 7-5 edge in corner kicks. Page Sanchez stopped one shot for the Raiders to record the shutout.

Wisconsin Lutheran returns to Warriors Soccer Field on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. to host another league unbeaten, Illinois Tech (11-1-1, 7-0-0 NACC), in a NACC matchup. Live coverage links can be found at WLCSports.com.
