JACKSON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College dropped a 5-2 non-conference decision to Wartburg on Friday in its home opener at Pleasant Valley Tennis & Fitness Club.
The Warriors (0-4) suffered a pair of 6-4 defeats to the Knights (4-2) at No. 1 and No. 2 to open doubles play. WLC senior
Aidan Newberg (Manitowoc, Wis.) recorded his first singles victory of the season at No. 1 with a 6-2, 6-4 win over WC's Kellen Jones. Junior
TaDarion Perkins (Milwaukee, Wis.) also posted his first singles win of the year No. 2 with a 6-2, 6-2 triumph over Wartburg's Keegan Weber.
Wisconsin Lutheran next hosts Lawrence (3-3) on Sunday, February 23 for an 11 a.m. non-conference contest at Pleasant Valley Tennis & Fitness Club in Jackson.
