MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College was defeated by Milwaukee School of Engineering 7-0 on Saturday in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference dual match at Elite Sports Club-River Glen.
The Warriors' No. 1 doubles team of senior
Aidan Newberg (Manitowoc, Wis.) and junior
Connor Heezen (Pulaski, Wis.) picked up their first win of the season with a 6-4 triumph over Andres Saavedra and Joe Chong. However, the Raiders claimed the opening doubles point with a pair of 6-0 victories at No. 2 and No. 3.Â
MSOE collected straight set wins at all six singles positions. Newberg won a combined three games at No. 1 for WLC, but fell 6-2, 6-1 to Saavedra.
Wisconsin Lutheran (0-8, 0-2 NACC) hosts Illinois Tech (4-8, 0-1 NACC) tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Tennis & Fitness Club in Jackson.
