DE PERE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College capped off a busy three-match weekend by falling to St. Norbert 7-0 in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference dual match on Sunday at Green Bay Tennis Center.
The Green Knights (5-10, 3-1 NACC) grabbed an early lead over the Warriors by winning all three doubles matches by scores of 6-2, 6-1, and 6-2, respectively.
WLC came up short in straight sets across all six singles positions against SNC. Senior
Aidan Newberg (Manitowoc, Wis.) fell 7-5, 6-1 at No. 1, and sophomore
Cameron Borchert (Loveland, Colo.) dropped a 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) decision at No. 3.
Wisconsin Lutheran (1-11, 1-4 NACC) has a week off before resuming NACC competition on Sunday, April 13 with a 12 p.m. match at Concordia Chicago (0-10, 0-3 NACC).
