Three WLC Softball Players Selected CSC Academic All-District®

Recognized for performances on the field and in the classroom

MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – Three members of the Wisconsin Lutheran College softball team have earned 2025 Academic All-District® honors from College Sports Communicators (CSC), the organization announced on Tuesday.

The Warriors student-athletes selected to the CSC Academic All-District Softball Teams were Sommer Krull (New London, Wis.), a sophomore infielder majoring in Accounting and Finance, Gwen Malecke (Gilberts, Ill.), a senior infielder majoring in Elementary Education, and Melissa Tonn (West Allis, Wis.), a senior right-handed pitcher majoring in Sport and Exercise Science.

In order to be eligible for CSC Academic All-District®, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, hold at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, and compete in 90 percent of their institution's total games or started in at least 66 percent of the institution's total games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched at least 35 innings.
