MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) -Â The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's and women's track & field teams have been honored as All-Academic Teams for the sixth straight season, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Monday.
The Warriors' men's program was honored as an All-Academic Team for the sixth straight season, compiling a team grade-point average of 3.438. In addition,
Sam Ehlke (Jackson, Wis.), a freshman Sport and Exercise Science major, earned All-Academic recognition. Ehlke ranked 29th in the Triple Jump on the NCAA Division III Indoor Performance List.
WLC's women's program was also recognized for a sixth consecutive year as an All-Academic Team. posting a team grade-point average of 3.480.
To qualify as an USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, all members of the roster must combine for a cumulative GPA of 3.10 or higher.
To qualify as an All-Academic Individual, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 and either finish the season among the top-50 individuals as listed on TFRRS or compete in the NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Track &Â Field Championships.
